It is easy to begin using Signalware®
to develop new applications since it accommodates the customer's development environment.
Through the assistance of an Ulticom Sales Engineer, customers can identify the
parameters for the development environment such as the number of Computing Elements
(CE) in a cluster, the number of links required, the types of boards required, the
quantity etc.
Development
- Purchase the Development Kit
Ulticom's development kit includes a development license that covers the customer's
development site, Signalware
software, and an SS7 board.

- Maintenance
Maintenance lasts for one year and is renewable.
- Training
Training aids in accelerating
the customer's development phase. The kit includes includes 2 training credits.
The curriculum typically begins with the Operations and Support course and continues
with the Application Development course.
- Technical Support
Customers receive support through a toll free
number as well as email.
Ulticom offers two types of maintenance and support services: Standard
maintenance and support services (8 AM to 5 PM US ET Monday - Friday); or Premium
maintenance and support services (24 hours per day, 7 days per week).
- Documentation
Customers receive all the documentation necessary for development and reference.
Documentation is kept current with the latest releases, product enhancements, and
service packs with maintenance renewal.
Deployment
- Installation
With an OEM agreement, customers can begin to install their
Signalware-based solution at their customer's sites.
- Licenses
Customers are required to purchase a deployment license for each CE. Support must
be renewed throughout the life of the customer's application. This enables Ulticom
customers to continue to receive technical customer
support.
