Ulticom proudly announces the latest addition to its industry-leading Signalware Signaling Services Platform – Signalware SP (formerly Signalware SS7/SIGTRAN) Release 9 Service Pack 6. This release significantly expands the scope, performance and interoperability of the world's leading SS7 signaling platform. Signalware SP Release 9 Service Pack 6 includes many new features in the areas of platform management, protocols, and open systems support, creating the most compelling signaling application development solution on the market.
Comprehensive set of tools to help manage complex applications and improve operational
efficiencies
Layer 3 Performance Statistics
Signalware SP now provides real-time MTP and M3UA performance statistics. It also
reports the status of M3UA and SUA links independent of the status of the underlying
SCTP transport.
Enhanced Loadsharing
Signalware SP includes enhanced loadsharing algorithms for C7 and J7 for maximum
performance and flexibility. It also supports multiple link sets to an adjacent
point code for J7 and supports simultaneous HSL and LSL within the same link set.
M3UA Routing Improvements
Signalware SP now supports TID-based ASPID routing for enhanced loadsharing across
multiple application servers, plus weighted loadsharing by SSN and routeset priorities.
Signalware SP also allows customers to modify the routeset without first inhibiting
that routeset.
JRE 1.6.11
This new release supports Suns new JRE with security enhancements for GUI users.
Cluster Status
Service Pack 6 includes real-time notification among Signalware CE cluster members
when there is an intentional CE shutdown.
Enhanced License Management
Ulticom supports configurable license management options to streamline installation
and run-time operations.
Combined SS7 and SIGTRAN Logical Node (Super Node)
Signalware SP supports both SS7 and SIGTRAN within a single logical node, thus allowing users to incrementally migrate applications from TDM to IP.
Enhanced Monitoring Capabilities
This release includes real-time system information access to monitor live traffic.
Broad range of industry-standard signaling protocol support to accelerate time to market and ensure global network interoperability
SUA Heartbeats
Release 9 Service Pack 6 adds SUA-level heartbeats to monitor the health of the SUA peer independent of a healthy underlying SCTP association.
INAP CS-2
Release 9 Service Pack 6 includes support for ETSI CS-2 interconnection to an OCS gateway or voucher system.
TCAP Service Continuity
This release adds Service Continuity Object Store (SCOS) to preserve TCAP transaction states across multiple AS in a cluster.
ATM NNI
Signalware SP now supports user-selectable UNI or NNI cell format for ATM SS7.
TCAP Segmentation
Service Pack 6 adds support for segmenting TCAP messages that cannot fit into a single SS7 MSU.
J7 SCCP v9
Service Pack 6 adds support for JT-Q.713 TTC SCCP Version 9.
CAMEL Application Part (CAP)
Signalware SP supports CAP Phase 4 (3GPP Release 6), allowing the user to create a virtual home environment for roaming subscribers to seamlessly access Intelligent Network (IN) services.
Wireless Emergency Services Extensions
Service Pack 6 supports positioning information to meet the growing demand for emergency and commercial location based services.
MTP2 Peer to Peer (M2PA) RFC 4165
Signalware SP complies with the current M2PA RFC to ensure interoperability between MTP2 peers over an IP-based signaling network.
ATM Over Non-Channelized T1/E1 (MTP3b, SAAL, AAL5)
This new release supports ATM for interconnect with high speed transport networks to meet the demand for increased application performance and reliability.
IS-824 Support
The new release supports IS-824 broadcast parameters for IS-41 messages.
Consistent APIs across the most popular open computing systems to provide platform freedom and investment protection
Red Hat Application Server 4 and 5, 32-bit and 64-bit
Ulticom continues to maintain its support for the most popular telco-grade Linux platform.
Sun Solaris 9 and 10
Solaris® customers can choose from Solaris 9 SPARC or Solaris 10 on SPARC or Intel/AMD.
PCI, PCI-Express, AMC
Ulticom's software-selectable multi-port T1/E1/J1 SS7 boards support narrowband, HSL and ATM on telco-grade PCI, PCI-Express, and AMC bus connectors, including a four-port low-profile PCI-Express board for maximum port density.
Flexible System Expansion
Customers can build high-availability high performance systems spanning multiple servers (CEs).
